  • Am I wrong for being upset at my boyfriend for eating my Valentine's Day steak dinner leftovers?

I took my boyfriend out to dinner for Valentine's Day last night. We got steak. We each had our own meal.
  • He ate all of his, and I brought most of mine home. I get full very easily.
  • Woman having painful stomachache
  • Now for the issue at hand. Tonight I found out that he ate my steak, all of it.
  • He didn't ask. He said he was sorry and that he didn't realize he ate all of it, he only meant to take a few bites, I guess.
  • But I wasn't sastified with that, I'm audhd so it was brewing in my head for about 10 minutes while I cooked dinner tonight, and I finally snapped at him and said I wish I hadn't paid $70 for dinner just for mine to be eaten.
  • He got very defensive and smashed an onion violently into his head; he has anger issues.
  • Man in black crew neck shirt yelling at the camera
  • I've had them too, I understand them, and he's working on his. But he said I must be doing it just to stir the pot and make s more interesting or something by creating arguments with him.
  • I just wanted him to figure out a way to make it up to me, that's all.
  • Teamtunafish NTA. He knew famn well what he was doing and didn't care.
  • Beneficial_Test_5917 NTA. (Even though he "smashed an onion violently into his head" to deal with his anger issues. Anger management classes certainly have changed.) Rethink this relationship. You are not his priority.
  • Head_Bed1250 He, at the VERY least, owes you a new steak. NTA
  • NYCStoryteller NTA. Venmo request $70. He absolutely DID know he didn't just have a few bites. Let him know that you aren't picking a fight or trying to make s "interesting" and you expect him to make it right. Also, consider raising the bar on what you want in a partner, because someone who gets defensive and then does a visualization exercise of smashing an onion to try to control their anger seems like an unsafe person.
  • MarcieBoku Just break up with him. He sounds terrible
  • Super-Link-9800 I'm going to need more information on the "smashing an onion violently into his head”.
  • shammy_dammy NTA. He knew what he was doing. He just didn't care.
